Dave Bethell
Dave Bethell aka Aggrovator started his musical oddyssey playing in a punk band at a free party in London circa 1989. He learned to beat match, and played jungle and techno on various rigs at squats and outdoor raves around England. He moved to Sydney, Australia, in 2005, and formed 4th Quadrant along with DJ Mode: putting on drum&bass parties, starting the Sydney chapter of Koncrete Jungle, bringing over countless internationals and supporting the local scene. In 2009 Dave moved back to Brighton, UK, where he’s been focussing on his own productions and running nights with No Thinking sound system among others. His first release, the three-track EPÂ Empty Skies, came out in 2011, blending downtempo electronica atmospherics with a heavy dub vibe. His influences range from techno, jungle, house, electronica and dub, depending on the vibe in the studio. His DJ sets are energetic and upfront, full of the free party spirit, spanning Detroit techno through to harder UK sounds and German electronica, and of course jungle.
Dave’s first release on Inna Riddim is the techno track ‘Ether’ on the Panoramic EP Vol. 1.
