The legendary production duo will be here, this month – the people responsible for so many foundation riddims and big, big tunes it’s impossible to list even the biggest – we’d run out of internet to write this post (look up some of it here if you need to). They have worked with every artist you care to mention – from Dennis Brown to I-Wayne, pioneering new sounds and movements inside and outside the dancehall.
They’re here, in Sydney, Friday 29 January, with Lauryn Hill, as part of the Raggamuffin festival at the Enmore Theatre, which actually has two dates – the night before, Thursday 28, features classic UK reggae act Steel Pulse. The full lineup is on the Raggamuffin website, but all a discerning reggae head like you, Dear Reader, needs to know is: Sly and Robbie.
